Sailing, Swimming and Watersports in West Norfolk
Water sports of all types is prevalent on Norfolk's coastline.
The West Norfolk coast provides excellent conditions for sailing, kite
surfing, windsurfing, waterskiing or canoeing. Alternatively just sit
back and enjoy the spectacle as people enjoy this vast water sports
playground.
Due to the flat, shallow water and large open beaches, Hunstanton Beach is considered one of the best beaches on which to learn kite surfing. At low tide the water becomes flat and shallow but gets a little choppy as the tide comes in. The most favoured conditions here are at low tide when the sandbar emerges on the outside and the water is flat.
Sailing Clubs are well supported in the local area and often have a full and varied yacht racing calendar through the year.
