Heacham Housing Development Meeting 3 Feb 2014

Heacham residents are being asked to attend a public meeting concerning a revised planning application for a large housing development on Land West of A149.  Many local residents feel that approval of this application will affect each and everyone of us, not just the residents who live close by.   The primary concern appears to be surrounding traffic problems at School Road/Lords Lane Junction.  It is felt that the development will create dangerous road conditions for children and parents around the school and the increased traffic will have an adverse impact on access to and from the A149 during the summer months.  There are also concerns about strained public amenities such as doctors, sewerage problems, flooding and much more.

Application for outline permission for the construction of a care home, housing with care facilities and 70 new homes. New allotments, associated landscaping, SUDS ponds and associated works including an electricity substation and a pumping station are also proposed. Access to be off School Road.
