This year’s Beach Party on 3 July had glorious weather, when the only place to be was Heacham South Beach.  Over 150 people enjoyed Heacham Parish Council’s Hawaiian themed Luau.

Traditional bangers and burgers from the BBQ and sandcastle competitions  mixed with hula hooping and limbo dancing.  Beach Party goers made Hawaiian Tiki Masks and were fascinated by the not so traditional art of creating Graffiti T-shirts.   The greatest entertainment though was the approaching tide and the usual spectacular Heacham sunset to round off another successful Heacham Beach Party.

The Annual  Heacham Beach Party is organised and run by Heacham Parish Council with generous sponsorship from Jennings Shop and Hunstanton & District Ladies Circle and supported by DJ Andy Groom and Rollason Entertainments.  This is a great annual favourite in the Heacham social calendar and everyone is welcome so why not come along next year.

Children play on the new Supernova

Heacham Recreation Ground lost its roundabout more than a year ago after years of service to the local children.  This has now been replaced by a new piece of equipment called a  Supernova.  Heacham Parish Council purchased the Supernova with help from the Norfolk Playing Fields Association who provided a £500.00 grant.

The circle rotates on an angle and can be used like a traditional roundabout. If you are feeling brave you can stand on it as it moves or run round on the top in different directions whilst it rotates.

Heacham Parish Council are currently planning for a larger play item to accompany the Supernova, so far £1000 has been raised in grants.
