A Tourism Fair is being held at the King’s Lynn Tourist Information Centre in the Custom House, King’s Lynn from 15 to 17 March as part of the English Tourism Week.
Local producers including Denver Mill and Bircham Windmill will be offering food tastings and Elgoods Brewery and Beers of Europe will be offering tastings of local beers.
Trues’ Yard and Welney Wildlife and Wetland Trust will be organising children’s craft activities. There will also be town walk tasters at 2pm each day organised by the King’s Lynn Town Guides. Goody bags and refreshments will be available throughout the fair.
Tourist Information Centre staff will be on hand to highlight activities and events taking place this summer and to promote local tourist attractions and places to visit.
The Tourism Fair is free to enter and will be open from 10.30am until 4pm from 15 to 17 March with different activities taking place on each day.
Cllr David Pope, Cabinet Member for Leisure and Operational Assets, said: “The theme of this year’s English Tourism Week is ‘places to visit on your doorstep’. West Norfolk has a wealth of beautiful places and interesting attractions to visit, so this is the ideal opportunity to remind people about them and promote all the activities that are planned throughout the area during 2012. I would encourage people to pop along to the Tourism Fair to find out about where to go and what to do in West Norfolk.”
English Tourism Week is organised by Visit England and takes place from 10 March to 18 March 2012.
