This May Bank Holiday, Sunday 6th and Monday 7th of May, Bircham Windmill are holding their annual Craft Fair. The craft fair and the Windmill attraction will be open from 10 am to 5 pm each day and it is FREE ENTRY to the CRAFT FAIR so why not visit Bircham Windmill and this bank holiday weekend and view a really traditional craft fair where you can speak directly to the crafts men and women selling their wares. As a special treat on Sunday, there will be live entertainment by ‘the Castaways’ who are singing from 1pm.
The Windmill museum, tearoom, bakery, gift shop and cycle hire are all open as usual and is always well worth a visit. Local photographer, James Fox, is holding an exhibition and there will be a lovely range of Great British China in the baking shop all ready for HM The Queen’s Jubilee. Outside, for the children there are guinea pigs, (the babies were born on April 1st), lambs, a resident orphan calf, ‘Pebbles’ the donkey, pygmy and angora goats which will be in the stable for visitors to see during the craft fair and pony rides for most of the weekend. Sheeps cheese production will be underway on the Saturday and once you have watched this interesting process, there are plenty of cheeses for visitors to sample and purchase. Bircham Windmill’s bakery will also be running flat out over the bank holiday weekend to provide bread, rolls, cakes and scones for visitors to buy, or sample in the tearooms.
Come and relax, soak up the atmosphere, enjoy the rural crafts and sample the wares. You won’t be disappointed! For further details contact Elly Chalmers on 01485 578393 www.birchamwindmill.co.uk info@birchamwindmill.co.uk
